Generations – Special Care for Senior Adults

Generations is a 10 bed inpatient unit that focuses on the needs of our aging population. We provide specialized treatment to seniors that are experiencing a variety of mental health related issues. The focus of our aging years should be on preserving dignity and enhancing quality of life that is why the staff at Generations provide a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Your care team will include (but are not limited to): a psychiatrist, a medical physician, nurses, social workers, recreational therapist, and other consults as needed. We provide education and guidance to both our patients and their loved ones.
If you or a loved one is experiencing signs/symptoms of:
- Depression: crying, change in appetite and/or sleep patterns, thoughts of dying.
- Alzheimer’s/Dementia: agitation/combativeness, sundowning, wandering, pacing, anxiety, hallucinations, delusions, and/or paranoia.
- An acute onset of inability to care for self and/or non-compliance with medications.
- Need for inpatient medication adjustment.
- Acute anxiety that interferes with your activities of daily living.
- Evidence of symptoms and/or behaviors that reflect significant risk to self and/or others.
